Pet Peeve of the Decade

Actually, of all time. One thing that truly gets under my skin is the pushers of e-books and other products who claim that they are sharing "secrets" with you for drop shipping, affiliate marketing, etc, as if they know something that no one else does. Now, mind you, there are people with more experience than others, but no one who has secret ways to make $100,000 in your first month. This is absolute baloney.

The key to any successful business is simple: drive, enthusiasm, passion and hard work. Just like anyone else, you can learn the ropes of whatever business you're entering into. Learn, experiment, keep what works, chuck what doesn't. Become an expert in what you're getting into. That will lead to your success.

Another thing to know is that some people just have a natural bent to some things. They seem to be a natural. For example, you may know the ins and outs of golf, have a terrific swing and style, but no matter how hard or good you are, you are not going to become another Tiger Woods. That guy just is blessed with the talent and he's applied himself to honing it. Don't compare yourself and try to live up to the stature of a Tiger Woods. Be good for you. Do your best. That's all you can expect from yourself.

Avoid the get rich quick schemes. Avoid the e-books for $69 or more that promise you secrets to make you rich. This is America (at least where I am) and anyone who puts their nose to the grindstone and applies them self has the exact same opportunity as anyone else. Find something that you love and go after it with all your heart. You may not succeed to the scale of a Bill Gates or a Tiger Woods, but you will succeed. Hang in there.

Here's to your success!

Tony
