I have real mixed feelings when it comes to credit cards. Everyone who isn't making a great deal of money already is going to need a nice little pile of dough to start a business off on the right foot, even if it's a home business. Computers, cell phones, fax machines, printers....they all cost money. You best bet is to either get a small business loan or use a credit card.
IMO, just like a gun, a credit card, by itself, is neither good or bad. It's a dependant upon the card holder. Do they use it wisely and attempt to pay off balances at the end of each month, make sure to use the card with the lowest interest rate (is there such a thing?), and look for the best deals? A great thing to look for, that I have done myself, is 0% balance transfers, so your interest is zilch for a certain time period. Or are they reckless in their spending, thinking that no money is passing hands if they can't see it? They can be an asset or a detriment to every person and business. Use them wisely.
