MS Expression Web - Released Soon!

For those of you who have used and enjoyed Microsoft FrontPage from the very beginning, rejoice! On December 11th, the new MS Expression Web will be released to the world. This is going to take up in big ways where FrontPage let off.

I have been working with the beta version of Expression Web for a few months and am very impressed with it's power. This is one upgrade I am picking up as soon as it's release. With cleaner code and a nice yet complete interface, this puppy is the cat's meow, IMO. If you presently use FrontPage, the learning curve will be minimal, as with most Microsoft products.

Here it what you can look forward to, straight from the horse's mouth (puppies, kitties and horses....it's a zoo around here! hehe):

"Create CSS-based, XHTML 1.0 Transitional-conforming Web sites by default. Work better across browsers, simplifying deployment and maintenance. Configure flexible schema settings to support all combinations of HTML, XHTML, Strict, Transitional, Frameset and CSS 1.0, 2.0, and 2.1 plus browser-specific schemas. Validate your site with compatibility and accessibility reporting and against Section 508 and W3C Content Accessibility Guidelines (WCAG)."

As always, you can get a full version or, if you already have FrontPage, opt for the upgrade. Full will run you about $269 and the upgrade around $89.95. OS requirements are 2003 Server, XP or Vista.

There is something about a new toy that promises great things (and has delivered, as far as the beta goes) that sends me all a-shiver. You too?

Stores are taking pre-orders for the software as I type. Grab MS Expression Web right now.

Here's to your success!

Tony
